Right Hand Left Hand

The term ‘minimal’ is often used to describe two piece bands, and yes, Right Hand Left Hand do feature one guitarist and one drummer, but that’s as far as you can take any tenuous White Stripes reference. RHLH instead loop and weave layer upon layer of killer riffs that subvert the quiet/loud dynamic of post-rock into a loud/louder burst of action that won’t let your stroking fingers get anywhere near your bearded face.

The spiritual beginnings of Right Hand Left Hand occured when both members heard Trans Am for the first time in a club in Groningen, Netherlands. While both members feature heavily in other Cardiff based bands, RHLH is an opportunity to break out on their own. 2 guys playing 2 guitars and a drum kit, centered around experimenting with a loops, random instrument swaps and all while attempting to find out how heavy is too heavy.

Since the birth of Right Hand Left Hand they have supported the likes of Dead Meadow, Errors, The Mahjonng, The Mae Shi, Future Of The Left and Super Furry Animals as well as headlining SWN Festival 2009. 2010 will see them release their debut album, with many more gigs to come
