The Flowerpot collective have been working and promoting in and around London for years. The collective is made up from an ever changing bunch of musicians / DJs / artists / free thinkers and wreckheads. Known for providing wonderful hospitality and treating bands on all levels with maximum respect, they thrive on good music, good art and good times.
In May 2009 they opened The Flowerpot in Kentish Town, where for a year and a half they put on free entry live shows with some of the world’s best talent playing - all in a 200 capacity venue where they all also lived. Due to some complicated problems in October 2010 (that we won't go into here) they were forced to leave their Kentish Town home. They have now opened a new pub / venue - The Wheelbarrow - in Camden and have vowed to open a new Flowerpot in 2012.

Since 2001 the thoroughly independent Club Fandango company has been at the forefront of unsigned music in London, promoting up-and-coming new bands across virtually every notable small venue in London ranging from 80 to 800 capacity. Set up by Andy Macleod (Pointy Records) and Simon Williams (Fierce Panda Records), Club Fandango began with a now infamous Tuesday night residency at the Dublin Castle in Camden which ran through the naughties from the spring of 2001 to the autumn of 2009. Now, after nigh-on a decade of dossing on other people's (dance)floors, Club Fandango has finally found a home it can call its own. That home is The Bull & Gate in Kentish Town. They moved in on June 1st 2010 and promote shows there most nights – regularly helped-out by some of their esteemed friends.

Alternative Press is a London-based, independent group of artists dedicated to encouraging people to create their own art and to freely express themselves via self-publishing. Since forming in 2008 they have organised self-publishing fairs, open mic evenings and poetry nights as well as organising their very own 'International Alternative Press Festival' which brought artists to the UK from across the globe. Once again they'll be bringing a slice of their alternative magic to the Camden Crawl in the shape of comics, zine-making, self-published books and print-making.

Art History isn’t all Da Vinci, Turner and Picasso! The Association of Art Historians is proud to present ‘Art History in the Pub’, a lecture series that’s been running in Camden throughout 2011. They aim to bring you cutting edge talks on surprising, fascinating, extraordinary visual culture topics in a relaxed and informal setting. Recent talks have dealt with topics including murder and 18th century sword-making; tattooing; taxidermy; and the graphic design of 1950s housing estate signs. Their slot at the Camden Crawl will include a lecture on representations of meat in art, as well as several other topics from the fringes of their discipline.

London Swing Dance Society Presents Vintage Dance Day
London Swing Dance Society was founded in 1986 and is the UK's longest running and most successful swing dance society. The founder Simon Selmon, a successful film, TV & stage dancer, has taught thousands to dance at festivals across the world. We wanted in on the action so we've organised for the society to bring their infectious swing style to the Camden Crawl. They'll be hosting an afternoon of swing and jive, taking you back to the vintage glamour of the 30s and 40s, with a mixture of hot music for dancing, classes to show the basics & performances from Simon Selmon & his Lindy Crew to inspire you.
