Three Trapped Tigers mix mathy rock with electronics in an unholy marriage that actually works out quite well. Produced by the same dude who was behind the boards for The Strokes albums (which just seems odd), they bliss out with some crazed, glitch-filled songs that are strangely packed with hypnotizing melodies. Named after a book by Cuban writer Cabrera Infante, Matt Calvert, Tom Rogerson and Adam Betts create music with influences ranging from Squarepusher to Aphex Twins to Battles. For fans of the above bands, Three Trapped Tigers are a must see act at the Crawl.
