The Crawl first launched in Camden in 1995 as a one-day event during the height of the Britpop phenomenon. Fusing the idea of a pub crawl and live music across several of NW1’s legendary music venues, the festival showcased a selection of the best up and coming cutting edge acts of the time.

Back in the day, the festival’s programme guide was housed in a jewel case along with a CD feature all of the acts playing the festival.

Now for the first time, we have unearthed that very first compilation album from the Camden Crawl archives and have made it available, exclusively, for our friends on facebook.

Highlights from the 15 track album include:

Kenickie - the band that launched Lauren Laverne’s career.
Bis - the Scottish disco rockers who were the first unsigned band to appear on Top of the Pops
Scarfo –Jamie Hince’s band before he founded ‘The Kills’
Gallon Drunk – The cult Swamp rockers from London featuring former ‘Bad Seed’ James Johnston
The Wedding Present – The headline act that packed out Dingwalls and closed the first ever Crawl

The album is available ONLY through facebook. So head over to our Official Facebook Page and 'like' us in order to access the secret link that will take you to the full 1995 Camden Crawl album via our Fan Only Content Page
