THE Q&A CRAWL: FEAR & RECORDS
Fear & Records isn't just two words and an ampersand which don’t quite scan, the little beggars. Peter White's labour of love is also home to some of the most exciting records and artists you might be likely to meet (or, indeed, listen to). Peter manages Masks, Johnny Foreigner and Rolo Tomassi, no less, but he doesn't stop there: he's released records by Emmy the Great, You Animals and Sky Larkin to boot. He's an old Crawl hand, too, so we caught up with him and let him show his old photo albums.

Crawl virgin or serial crawler? Either way, tell us why
Does it make us seem really old if we can remember the very first Camden Crawl in 1995? It's a little hazy but I can vaguely remember falling in love with Lauren Laverne from Kenickie.
What curatorial delights can we expect from you this year?
This year, we are hoping to curate the noisiest line up the Camden Crawl has ever seen. I would tell you all the bands that we're going to book, but I think Lisa would kill me first.
[We checked. She absolutely would.]
If it were a film, your part in CC2012 would be…
We'd be the Anton Newcombe character in DiG! or Darby Crash in The Decline of Western Civilization.
Conjure up a Camden memory for us, Crawly or otherwise
Camden has a dear spot in our hearts from going to see bands that sounded like Sonic Youth at the Barfly (back when it was at the fire entry-less Camden Falcon). I also saw At The Drive-In at the Camden Underworld and Camden Electric Ballroom, which was extremely special.
In terms of Camden Crawl shows, iDlewild at the Dublin Castle stands out. We've had a bunch of incredible shows from our own bands including seeing I Was A Cub Scout at a curry house and watching Rolo Tomassi and Gold Panda share a bill for the first (and probably only) time.
Favourite tune of the next 12 months?
I'm looking forward to new albums from The Men and Milk Music, so probably something from one of their albums.
Imagine CC2012 is over. What one sentence do you want people to say about you when they get home?
Why the hell did I spend all night at the Camden Underworld? I can't hear a fucking thing.
Drink?
A nice pint of slightly warm lager in a dirty plastic cup, please.
