Book Slam is run by Patrick Neate, Elliott Jack and Angela Robertson. The idea was simple: to come up with a 'live literature' format that was as far removed from the rarefied 'book reading' events in existence. Each month a wide range of storytellers from all disciplines - gather together for an eclectic night of words and music. Our Crawl special highlights the works of new writers Chris Killen on modern love, Alex Wheatle on South London street life, Kirsty Robinson’s festival tales and Max Decharne’s guide to hipster slang.
