Southern Records

Southern RecordsSouthern Records is a fiercely independent label founded in 1992 by Southern Studios, a group of music-related companies which grew out of a recording studio established in north London in the late 1970's.  The label has been home to Babes In Toyland, Therapy?, Karate, Les Savy Fav, William Elliott Whitmore and Bob Tilton in the past, and their current family includes Mothlite, The Paper Chase, Tartufi, Little Annie and Paul Wallfisch, Trencher and Chrome Hoof.  In the last several years Southern Records has spawned several other imprints, including Latitudes, Black Diamond, and Truth Cult.
