Over at the Indie Idle contest, Skyhorse are like a less annoying, attitude free Razorlight. They get bonus points for a bassist that seems to be channeling John Entwistle.

We’re told the three bands to make it through yesterdays Gigwise fueled heat are (drumroll…) Ice Sea Dead People, Grand Rocket Orchestra, Skyhorse & My Name Is Red. They slog it out at Hobgoblin this afternoon to win a slot on the bill later tonight.

Last year Gigwise joined forces with the Red Stripe Camden Crawl to create Indie Idle, a competition for unsigned acts with the winner going on to play a prime slot of the urban festival’s final night. It was such a success that it we have decided to bring it back for a second year!
