Alessi’s Ark is the musical project of 18-year-old Alessi Laurent-Marke. Inspired by Meg White, Alessi took up playing the drums whilst at secondary school before teaching herself how to compose songs using her sisters discarded guitar. After a few solo performances she was picked up by Virgin Records and approached Mike Mogis (member of Bright Eyes) to help her with her album ‘Notes From The Tree House’, Alessi’s peculiar English take on Americana.
