ABC first came to prominence in the early 1980s with their debut album, The Lexicon Of Love, reaching number one in the UK. In the subsequent ten years, the band released ten UK and five US top 40 hit singles over five further albums and underwent several line up changes. Following a hiatus in the early ’90s, the band’s figurehead and remaining original member, Martin Fry, resurrected the name in 1997 and started to don his infamous gold lame suit. ABC released two further albums to date and continues to tour and make special appearances.The Lexicon Of Love regularly features in critics top 100 albums of all time.
