“Songwriting and creativity…… the two elements create a very lethal combination which will see Blizzard go from strength to strength in the UK rap scene over the coming months and years”
Meet Blizzard, pseudonym of Bradley Green, a rising star of the UK underground scene and advocate of independent label, ‘Launchpad Records’. Born in Manchester but making waves throughout the country, Blizzard hasn’t been held back by living outside of the capital and has built his reputation steadily over the last eight years. At the tender age of 11, Blizzard won a competition to film a profession music video which ended up chartingat number 1 on urban satellite station Channel U (now AKA) as did several follow ups despite his young age.
This success brought him to the attention of youth broadcaster SBTV where he made many appearances of which one in particular became a viral success. The ‘Don’t Flop’ video featured Blizzard in a lyrical battle against an English teacher. Although the latter won, the video showcased Blizzard’s sheer talent and clocked him over 5 million YouTube views. In 2012 Blizzard released his debut EP which reached top 20 in the iTunes album chart and the turn of 2013 saw Blizzard as one of the ‘Hot 10 for 2013’ as selected by BBC 1Xtra listeners. He latest effort ‘Testing The Waters’ was released in March.
