“… the current wave of producers stewing grime, dubstep and house into a melting pot of powerful beats. Visionist is at the forefront of this”
Resident Advisor
South London based producer Visionist (real name Louis Carnell) stated to break through in 2011 after initial support from DJ Oneman with tunes like Come In & Mr.67. He has since released several records on Keysound Recordings, Signal Life and 92 Points to name but a few. Although his music is rooted grime as that is stylistically where he started out, Visionist’s sound is altogether his own as he seamless blends together several different genres.
Visionist has been moving from strength to strength in the last year both producing and running the Lost Codes imprint and now he’s set to return with a new EP ‘I’m Fine II’ the follow up to last autumn’s ‘I’m Fine’ due out on Lit City Trax in the spring. The first track ‘More Pain’ with it’s skeletal, neck-snapping beats, woozy vocal chops and the faintest traces of Rap, R&B and Grime follows on from last year’s ‘Pain’
