“Miraculous Mule’s music doesn’t just scratch the surface; it settles in deep. As any good music should, it stays with you”

Examiner

Self described as “a group of Anglo-Irish honkeys who dig African American gospel, blues, prison work songs and hillbilly music”, Miraculous Mule are the only band on the line up (to our knowledge) that were actually born in bred in Camden Town. Formed in 2010, the band is made up of members Michael J. Sheehy (vocals, guitar), Patrick McCarthy (vocals, bass), Alex Louise Petty (vocals, percussion), Nick Foot (harmonica), Ian Burns (drums). Their first EP was released in 2011 with their debut album, ‘Deep Fried’ following last year. ‘Deep Fried’ is comprised of ten songs of gritty white-boy blues and raw roots rock. It covers all the bases and then some, with blues-stomp rockers, rootsy pickers, gospel preacher rants, hill country grooves, and Delta-infused shufflers. While tipping their hats to traditional blues, Miraculous Mule kick up their own latter-day blues and roots rock sound for the masses.
