Hailing from Manchester via London, D/R/U/G/S is the project of Callum Wright and crafts some of the most euphoric, radical new music around. Made with the freeform attitude of synth visionary Oneohtrix Point Never, the fuck-you braggadocio of the Wu-Tang Clan, the cast-iron integrity of punk and the headlong desperate rush of rave, it’s untamed music for the moment.
D/R/U/G/S’s early tracks quickly found their way onto the blogs and soon were being written about by Q, NME, The Fader, Dummy and XLR8R and played on specialist radio. This attention sent him on the road. He has since toured and played major festivals around the UK, Europe and rest of the World. D/R/U/G/S has released multiple singles, EPs and mix tapes from 2011 to date and been commissioned to remix such high profile artists as Lykke Li, Lana Del Rey and James Wolf amongst others.
