“That perfect mix of pleasant and poignant. Simply lovely”

For Folks Sake

Early Ghost hail from the Sussex area and formed circa 2009. Originally a three-piece they they grew to six as they expanded their sound and style to include violins, trumpet, clarinet and sax lined up alongside the acoustic, electric, banjo combination. Following tour supports with the likes of Beirut, First Aid Kit and Sea Of Beas, Early Ghost has won a loyal following up and down the country. Prior to the release of their debut album, ‘Cadaques’, last year, the band released two EPs including the acclaimed ‘We Crossed The Waves’ EP. The bands influences, which include composer Ennio Morricone and instrumental group The Shadows, have led to many unusual genre descriptions about the band such as ‘Spaghetti-Folk’ and ‘Surf-Folk’.
