Blast are Moscow’s No1 English singing indie rockers described by the NME as the godfathers of Vladrock the new indie movement currently sweeping Russia’s capital city. Formed in Moscow by Georgian singer/songwriter Noshrevan”Nash” Tavkhelidze and Russian guitarist Alexandre “Khlap” Artchevski with Bulgarian musicians Vlado and Valio. First signed to British/Australian indie label Ghost Records in London. Recorded and released their first single “Bury the Shoe Girl” in Manchester produced by Mark Tolle(Stone Roses and The Mock Turtles).First UK tour following in the footsteps of The Beatles included an infamous rooftop gig in Chelsea. In 2004 the band went to London to record their debut album album “F..k the Industry” which included the Moscow hit single “Alright”. The band then went on to release “Real Life” in 2006. In 2010 the band embarked on a UK tour which saw them do shows at London’s Bush Hall and The Garage.

Blast have supported many well known artists either in Moscow or in the UK. To name a few these include Badly Drawn Boy,Muse,Blur,Starsailor,Franz Ferdinand, Supergrass,Brett Anderson and The Strokes. Blast won the 2010 Overplay site international song competition with the track Honey(Long Love)
