CC2012 VARIETY SERIES No. 2 FREE ENTRY – Echo Lake, Icona Pop, Joel Dommett & more… | News | The Camden Crawl 2012

Our first Variety night was a classic and took us days to recover from. We’re ecstatic to say that number two is fast approaching next week on Wednesday 9th November, taking place again at the Star of Kings. Far from a typical gig night, VARIETY is what it says on the tin. Described by organisers as “four great nights out in one”, featuring cutting edge comedy, London’s most competitive pop quizzes with guest DJs and a very special live music guest each week. The full line up for next wednesday are as follows: Date: Wednesday, 9th November 2011

Echo Lake(9pm)

London-based five-piece Echo Lake produce wonderfully mesmerizing lo-fi pop soundscapes which sit somewhere comfortably between Warpaint’s dreamlike atmospheres and The Concretes at their most melancholic. They have got the songs – gorgeous yet gloriously dirty shoegaze – as well as the look to capture both fancy and imagination. http://www.echolakeband.com

Icona Pop (DJ Set) (9.45pm)

This talented duo from Stockholm make the kind of forward-thinking, effortlessly cool pop that seems second nature to most Scandinavians. Their sophisticated brand of glistening electro-pop earned them a record deal with Mercury and we’re very pleased to announce they’ll be spinning some great tunes for us on the night. http://www.iconapop.com/
