“They played pretty much all of your favourite electronic tracks from the past thirty years. Those present were a little older than your average Field-Dayer, but they actually danced and moshed and pogoed and raved as if the rest of the festival simply wasn’t there.”

This year, the renowned veterans of London’s summer street party circuit, Dig It Sound System celebrate 20 years of throwing parties in extraordinary places. Not ones for settling down in a bar or club, Dig It, whose fully mobile rig is set up on a tricycle pulled trailer, are known for finding unusual spaces to host marathon parties. They join CC14 in taking over the Terrace at the Roundhouse to host an all day, outdoor party marking their two decades of rolling woofers and chirping tweeters.
The three founding DJs of the Camden based collective – Dan Carrier, Colin Currie and Matt Gross – play tag mixing with an eclectic party classics policy, bouncing through the sounds that make the summer. Expect sets ranging from Reggae, Ska and Two-Tone, through to Hip Hop, Electro, Drum and Bass and Deep House.
The System is Camden-based and where better than their home turf to host a CC14 party? With the Roundhouse bar and terrace providing the venue and the Dig It Sound System the music, the ingredients are in place for what is set to be a classic afternoon session.
