The Magpie’s Nest

The Magpie’s Nest, BBC Folk Club of 2010, is an acoustic folk club pushing the musical boundaries within the promotion of folk and traditional music. Formed in 2006, it provides a platform for emerging and established artists. Responding to the lack of opportunities in London for young audiences to hear roots music, the club has become a vital focal point of the current folk revival working on both a community level running small shows to programming large events on festival stages and in most of the major London venues including the RFH, QEH, Kings Place and Cecil Sharp House.
