Hella Cholla is the songwriting of Cambridge based school mates Hannah Yadi and Will Betts and comes highly recommended by the likes of Annie Mac. Their name means ‘a feisty Latino gangster’ and this is reflected in their flamenco indie pop sound, filled with soulful vocals and an ‘aversion to simple rhythms’. Henry Smith (The Sanctuary) had this to say about them: “timeless and universally endearing…Yadi’s voice is infectious to the point of jealousy… They write and perform songs you can sing along to by the final chorus on the first listen.” Test this out for yourself on Friday 24th April.
