THE Q&A CRAWL: MISTAJAM | News | The Camden Crawl 2012

If you don’t know MistaJam, you don’t know award-winning radio presenting when you see it. MistaJam has been with Radio 1Xtra since 2005, and has been rolling around the corridors of Radio 1 itself since 2008. From dubstep to hip hop, grime to Drum & Bass, MistaJam knows his beats – in fact, he’s been known to tag his show ‘the key to the underground’.

We wiggled a paperclip in the lock of the underground, and then swallwed our pride to ask for his help.

Crawl virgin or serial crawler? Either way, tell us why.

Crawl virgin. It’s one of those events I’ve wanted to go to but haven’t been booked for nor really found the time to actually get down to. Great that this is my first year of involvement

What curatorial delights can we expect from you this year?

Great music played by great people in a great setting!

If it were a film, your part in CC2012 would be:

The funny character that only has one scene, but it’s the scene that everyone talks about.

Conjure up a Camden memory for us, Crawly or otherwise.

First ever parking ticket in London was from the Borough of Camden. Cheers guys.

Favourite tune of the next 12 months?

I can’t answer that question – there’s too many. Joe Goddard ft Valentina’s Gabriel appears highly on the list though.

Imagine CC2012 is over. What one sentence do you want people to say about you when they get home?

What a brilliant party!

Yes please. Milk no sugar. Colour of digestive biscuits. Cheers.
